Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) is a psychological safety concern that needs to be championed by agile coaches and leaders. Everyone in the organization must be aligned with this way of thinking and behavior to achieve psychological safety and D&I agility. If the organization leaders’ goal is to create a world class business that satisfies the customers’ jobs to be done and attract the best minds, D&I must be a priority strategy. People want to work for progressive companies that practice fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all. The absence of D&I in an organization is waste (Muda) and robs the people of cultural riches and innovative ideas.
